Virtual Array don't work with "Wrap" or "Deform" (4 and 16 point) tools

I believe this is a question for developers but as I didn’t find a specific category for this purpose I created the topic in this one.
If it is not the correct place, I ask the forum administrators to place it in the appropriate place.

Well,… I was trying to find a faster way to solve the problem described in my last topic
(How to Bend a simple Shape? (Rectangle)) trying out various approaches and tools, and I believe I ran into a problem with my version of software (1.4.05) or something to take into account for an upcoming software revision.

As described in the topic title, if I create a “Virtual Array” of a shape and then try to use any of the “Wrap” or “Deform” tools, all the virtual shapes disappear, as do the properties related to the “array” in the original shape.

Virtual array before “Wrap” or “Deform” with related properties:

Virtual Array after using “Wrap” or “Deform” tools:

Virtual Array after using “Wrap” or “Deform” tools and without related properties:

If am I doing something wrong feel free to enlight me.

I can replicate this

Where the shape is “simple” you can edit its size and it rebuilds the array when leaving edit mode.
Also works when using node editor.

When using deform/warp tool the array disappears and must be rebuilt. Not a massive issue i guess.

@Rick @JohnJohn
Is this expected behavior, based on deform or Warp tool “shape” requirements or limitations? or a little bug?

Yes @gilaraujo, I am seeing similar in the 1.7.00 beta. Investigating further. Will report back as we learn. Thank you for drawing our attention to this @Kuth.

Update: In chatting with Oz internally, we can confirm, and a report has been generated. He also mentioned, “If you deformed the path shape that had text on a path it would likely fail too, for the same reason.” For now, we suggest folks adjust their workflows to Deform / Warp the original shape prior to using the Array or Text on Path functions until we can address this properly.

Exactly, and I know it.
As I mentioned, when trying to find a faster way to solve the issue in another topic, using the various tools that Lightburn provides for this purpose, I came across this bug by chance.
The idea was when drawing a shape to draw the 4 shapes simultaneously.

Think I don’t misunderstood what you mean…
As you are Portuguese based on your profile information, we can also clarify anything you think is necessary by private message in portuguese.
My English is very rusty, so Google Translate usually helps. (I said usually because sometimes it just gets complicated.)

You are welcome!
I’m glad I could help make Lightburn even better! :+1:
