Hello, I’m not very familiar with forums, so I apologize in advance if everything isn’t clear. Following major problems with displacement, displacement of various elements by the native software of my Wecreat machine, I decided to use LightBurn software. As is often the case, setup was not easy, but I finally managed to obtain a correct trace without distortion or displacement of the various elements. For example, exterior cutting, engraving, etc. The problem I’m having now is with the display of my work plan, which is rotated 90° to the right. Unlike the camera control display, which is perfectly horizontal, I’ve gone through all the different settings without finding a solution. If anyone can give me some pointers, that would be great, as I could finally get back to work. Thank you in advance.
A common troubleshooting step with any laser is to try the manufacturer’s own software. If there are issues with the programm specifically made for this machine, how can LightBurn know how to talk to the laser?
Can you elaborate on the “displacement problems” in WeCreat Studio?
This could help us evaluate whether there is an issue with the machine, or something else.
If you haven’t already, I’d recommend asking WeCreat directly.
We initially worked with WeCreate to support the Vision in LightBurn. Their firmware still does things we don’t know about, and they released an unknown amount of FW updates since then.
One example is that the device reports differently to LightBurn, than it does in WeCreat Studio. This, and other factors make it very difficult to support.
I haven’t seen the rotated camera image before.
Which version of LightBurn are you using here?
In the separate support request you sent us, you mentioned that you manually edited the camera_rotation value in the prefs.ini file.
Please revert these changes by deleting the contents of the prefs folder entirely to start with a clean state.
It’s best to wait with the camera, and making sure everything else works in LightBurn first.
There are known issues with V2.0.0+ of LightBurn and wecreate machines. One of our developers has requested that wecreate update their firmware, as there are communication issues.
For now, my best suggestion is to use version 1.7.08 of LightBurn:

Follow your manufacturer’s instructions by importing their provided .lbdev device profile:
Hello, and thank you for your reply. I’ve been working on my machine’s native software for several months, but the growth of my business has forced me to push it to its limits. That’s when I noticed that the software wasn’t able to transcribe the exact location of the various elements and actions I was asking it to perform. I work in leather goods, and I need extreme precision on the different pieces I make. Moving the different elements can, for example, result in an offset of the engraving relative to the initial shape of the file. I’ll attach a photo to make this clearer.
Returning to the Light Burn software, I finally managed to obtain a perfect engraving and cutting of the piece, and I’m delighted to have many additional adjustment options. My floor is unique; the problem at the moment is that the image of the worktop is rotated 90° to the right, as shown in the photo. If this problem is fixed, I will be happy to continue working with this software rather than my machine’s native software.
Thank you for the previous version. I will try this afternoon to uninstall and reinstall the version you recommended. I actually first tried to contact the Wecreat support team who were unable to give me an answer, they kept me going around in circles for many days.
What you describe here sounds like a mechanical issue that got introduced after heavily using the machine.
See, if you can solve this by going through these WeCreate Maintenance steps
If there is mechanical slop (Backlash) in the movement system, it’s possible that it’s just not visible in LightBurn due to different speed settings or different order of cuts. Makes sense?
That gives me hope!
Please try my suggestion to revert the changes to the prefs.ini file.
If you can try the camera on a separate Windows machine, we’d be interested to hear the results.
, you were a great help. The problem was solved by changing the update to a previous version of LightBurn that you recommended. The display of the work plan is perfect. I was able to do my calibration and the engravings and cuttings are perfectly identical to the transferred file. Thanks again and congratulations for your help.
