What profile for the Artisan + 40W laser

I still have a few days left in my trial and I’m having some last small issues with my Artisan using Lightburn. You already helped me setup the half diode mode, maybe you can give me a hint here as well.

I don’t control the device directly, I save the gcode and send it over to the device via WiFi, that works great and fits my workflow better than direct machine control via serial.

If I use the integrated “SnapmMaker (Marlin)” device profile, everything seems to work fine. The thumbnail is displayed correctly and I can do boundary checking with Artisans controller, but in reality the laser moves way to slow and all my engravings end up way to dark and burned and the jobs take forever. The result ist unusable.

If I use the profiles that Snapmaker provides ( Using Ray/Artisan/2.0 with LightBurn | Snapmaker Wiki ) then the actual job runs fine and the results look good from my first tests. However, the thumbnail is not displayed correctly (which is not that big of an issue), but the boundary check executed on the Artisan does not work anymore and that is something I like to use.

Does anyone else face these issues or maybe even has a solution? If not I will try to setup a custom GCode device according to the GCode specification that Snapmaker provides for that machine and see if that works.
