Hello, laser hasn’t arrived yet. Maybe next week. Question is…what is the cheapest computer platform that would run lightburn software? Minimum processor, ram, etc. Could a cheap tablet work? My financial advisor ( wife) wants to know. Ha ha. Thanks.
We test LightBurn on Mini-PC’s that are tiny and power constrained. The performance isn’t spectacular, but it’s usable.
Be aware that “cheap tablet” often means “not Windows”. LightBurn will not run on ARM or Android platforms.
Ok. Must have Windows operating system. How much RAM?
LightBurn doesn’t need much, unless you’re engraving really large projects or high-DPI images. Computers tend to run better in general with more, but LightBurn runs fine on a 4Gb system.
