I all, I got a question for everyone. What do ya’ll suggest for a good strong glue to past wood laser cut parts with? Elmer’s etc… works good, but I am looking for something that won’t accidentally snap loose. Maybe someone here can post what they use. Any help on this question is greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
Tim
Wood glue is by far the best for …Wood. The best glue to use depends on how you intend to use it and what kind of wood you are using it on- a little more information would help us guide you
CA (super glue) type glues normally crystalize before the glue is able to penetrate very far into the fibers.
RTV (silicone) can be used in some circumstances and has the advantage of being slightly pliable.
My choice for interior wood glue is Titebond III. In my experience, once it’s set it’s stronger than the wood itself.

Hope this helps.
Thanks everyone on all the replies. The material I am cutting is the cheap .156 carpet underlayment material from one of the big home improvement box stores. That was the best low cost material I could find for just playing around. I just didn’t want to make something for friend and have the glue part falling off. The “wood glue” I am using is good so far and I will look at the Titebond. As always thank ya’ll for your help.

If you stick to growing your skills you can do some amazing things with laser cutters and specialty glues: Ancient veneering techniques and glues are a perfect match for laser cutting!
Yes it does. But I use DAP Rapid Fuse>> Super Glue, 0.85 oz. It is a gel glue and gives you time to adjust the position before it sets.
Hi.
@CNC_auto_index, You really can’t go wrong with Titebond as a brand.
They obviously have a wide variety of products for different uses, I prefer the Original for musical instrument making.
And I do use it for other wood related tasks as well.
