XTOOL D1 20 W not framing

I just set up my xtool d1 20w and I haven’t been able to successfully do my first project using lightburn. My device powers on, I chose some text and selected frame and the machine proceeds to go a little up and down but no side to side action. I am not sure what I did wrong.
Please help

Make sure all connectors are properly seated, especially the X-axis connectors. Check on both sides of the cable.

do you know where those would be on my machine? the prong cables?

This is the understide of the laser. The controller is located underneath the large button on the top of the machine.

Make sure the connector marked with 10 is properly oriented and well seated on both sides of the connector.

I was able to remove the red one but not the yellow and white. Here is an attached picture of what mine looks like. I really don’t understand why it is not working…

Was the connector firmly seated on both sides of the connector?

Also, I’m not sure if the orientation is incorrect but isn’t the red cable supposed to be next to the white? Not the yellow. I’m going from the diagram so not certain. I was going to ask you to swap cables anyway to test if the problem moved to the Y axis or if the problem stays on the X-axis side.

Does X-axis work on XCS software or is this only an issue in LightBurn?

The problem is the same using XCS software.

I unplugged all the connectors and plugged them back in - the problem still presists. I can’t switch the red and yellow cables because the red one has 4 connecting prongs and the yellow has 6 connecting prongs.

I really don’t understand what is wrong…I am guessing its an assembly issue. Please help. I really want this to work so I can start creating for my business.

I’d suggest reaching out to xTool as this sounds like it could be a hardware issue.

Update - I fixed my problem. By contacting Xtool they gave me a list of troubleshooting options and the one that fixed my problem was that my timing belt on the x-axis wasn’t inserted into the laser head. (See Image)

Thank you to everyone who tried to help!

Well that would certainly do it. Glad you’re up and running.
