Xtool RA2 Pro rotary

I have a Commarker B4 fiber laser. I am trying to use the chuck rotary. Xtool says that the steps per rotation are 128 steps. This only produces a small movement in the rotary when I click test. I have found different recommended steps per rotation. None of them will produce a full rotation when I click test in the rotary setup. The gear on the stepper motor is smaller than the one on the chuck, so it would require a higher number of steps to produce a full rotation. I have contacted Xtool, and get their automated support reply. I’ve looked in the forum and none of the numbers work. I hope you can help.

When I open the settings for the JCZ:

Read along the solution is below you have to do some math:

My B4 requires using an external stepper driver, so in my case it’s whatever the stepper driver is configured for. I’d have to dig up my old thread in the ComMarker Facebook group but I walked through the steps to reconfigure their stepper driver to work with the RA2 and it works great.

FYI, try 12800 (not 128)

I just sent you a private message with a couple of Facebook link to the ComMarker VIP group. Those should get you headed in the right direction but it looks like I ended up at 3200 steps per rev after configuring the stepper driver and turning down the current.
