Hello I installed the z axis height adjuster on my 10w ortur after that per instructions I moved the start position 1in 3/8 everything works as it does go home and it will move to the position that I want to engrave, Once I click start the laser comes on but just continues to burn in the one spot and does not turn off per message on console it says waiting

Ortur makes quite a few engravers. Having the model name and firmware revision number would be very helpful so I can check to see if this has happened for anyone else before.
When you first connect to the engraver with LightBurn, the laser engraver will respond with the model name and firmware revision number (in most cases). If it does, the text will appear in the Console window in LightBurn. You can select and copy that text, which makes it fairly smooth to paste it into a reply here.
I’m curious to know if the power supply can’t run all three motors and the laser.
In Lightburn, turn off the Z-Axis in Device settings and rerun the previous project.
It may also be worthwhile to inspect the wiring between the laser module and the controller board. Something may have been damaged or shaken loose when installing the new Z-Axis hardware.
