Burning grid to base board?

Hi, I have made the grid with the array tool in LB, How do I get it to burn to my base board? Thank you

Run the job. Is there an issue?

yes I try start job and nothing happens.

I can burn anything else but the grid.

Thanks. Maybe I needed to be a bit clearer. We do not charge by the word, so feel free to use more. It helps us.

What else can you tell us? Do you see any message displayed in the console when you try to run this job? Do you get any messaging at all when trying to run this job? We canā€™t see what you do so your words are all we have to go on.

Iā€™m sorry I donā€™t know all the fancy words or meanings but here is what I haveā€¦ Dell laptop with windows 10, OLM2 20w, LB 9.20 only message is ok, and OLF137 is there to. I donā€™t know how to screen shot so please bear with me. The laser moved from home about 3 inches and did nothing. I tried changing from absolute cords to current position and still nothing.

No no, this is completely fine. It is not the ā€œfancyā€ wording I am looking for. Just more wording, fancy or not.

Then followed with much more detail. This is my reference. Thank you for your follow up. We are on track now.

For Windows: Keyboard shortcut for print screen - Microsoft Support

For Macs: Take a screenshot - Apple Support

Alarms are not a good sign and need to be addressed. This means, ā€œG-code motion target exceeds machine travel. Machine position safely retained. Alarm may be unlocked. (Right-click the ā€˜Devicesā€™ button to reset the connection)ā€.

There is information here already, so I will not retype. Look at this: Search results for 'Ortur Alarm:2 @OrturTech order:latest' - LightBurn Software Forum

ok I read the items, still not sure how to correct this ā€œalarmā€. I canceled continuous jog, resized imageā€¦ what else can I do to make it work?

, I read up on that too. lol

Are you getting the same alarm after making the ā€œresized imageā€ adjustment? What is the result now? What do you see in the Console? What are the settings for the black layer? Show that tab, then double-click that layer to expose the ā€˜Cut Settings Editorā€™ window and show us that screen as well.

I understand, we have all started our journeys at some point. It is fine. I would like to offer you a suggestion. You are trying to do something that requires a bit of knowledge, not extreme by any means, but not a beginning or novice type project. We would like to see you have success as you begin your journey, so we wrote the following to help:

https://lightburnsoftware.github.io/NewDocs/BeginnerWalkthrough.html

Start there and continue to the next page through the completion of the simple project section. This will help with getting the system set up properly and provide a clear overview of the LightBurn basics.

If you are willing, let us know how you get on, and we can go from there.

@OrturTech, I have seen a few Ortur users wanting to burn this type of grid into the waste board for alignment and such. This would be a great learning project for your customers.

Is this something you folks could provide?

Is funny you mention it because grids are important on software like lasergrbl
Most users use them but end up after learning lightburn using current position the most and ignoring the grids
In our facebook group theres grid files in all shapes and sizes. need to investigate the best ones but can provide for sure
