Camera seems to be pretty off

Camera alignment is accurate only with the 4 targets but not anything else you add

I have a diode laser ortur master 2 15w. I installed a camera dead all the steps successfully all the images taken were under 0.09 except for a couple that were 0.12. when I jog the laser to the 4 targets they go right in the center but when I put an object in the middle and select the top corner it jogs about an inch away from it. What can I do to fix this

Camera is always off

Yes, this is fine. During the auto-focus, what is happening here is the bed is moving away from the tip where the beam exits the lens tube for thicker stuff and closer for thinner things, but the top of your material will end up at the same location in space and should always be a certain distance from this tip. Think of it this way, the properly focused height is the top of your material. You are moving the bed to give room for the rest of the object to fit inside your laser. The top is alway…
