“Failed to connect to server due to server error” message:
Server error means that the software isn’t able to connect to the license server for some reason.
- Try again to make sure it wasn’t a temporary glitch.
- If you have a firewall, you might need to tell it that LightBurn is allowed to talk to the internet
- If you have a firewall, you can whitelist api.cryptlex.com port 443 (the license server)
- If you are behind a proxy, you may need to enter the proxy details into the license screen in LightBurn
If none of these things work, you can enter your key and press the ‘Request Offline Activation’ button. It will prompt you for a filename for the activation request. Send that request to support at lightburnsoftware dot com along with your license key number, we process it and send a response back.
