Help with my Longer 10w laser

Help… my longer 10w laser was working fine. The all pglf the sudden it will cut then about halfway through i get an error message and it goes back to home…

It would be extremely helpful to know what that error message says, because that would give us some idea of what the problem might be.

Here is a WAG = You had a power interruption, like a loose power connector at the controller board.

WAG = Wide Area Guess. Not what you thought it meant, I bet. :grin:

As it says, the machine’s motion sensor tripped, which should turn it off in the event it’s no longer sitting quietly on the table.

Things to check:

  • Can the frame slide around on the table?
  • Did it get bumped while running a job?
  • Does the job have large fast motions?

Any of those can count as “movement” and trigger the sensor.

It’s apparently possible to reduce the sensor’s twitchiness or disable it completely, but the exact command depends on the machine / controller / firmware. With that in mind, this hint may be relevant:
