Light burn no longer recognizes G2 laser after 2.0.03 update

I have a Gweike G2 max 50w and it was working fine with version 2.0.02. I was prompted to upgrade to the newer version and did just that. Now, lightburn no longer recognizes my laser. I tried uninstalling then reinstalling, changing cables, going back to previous versions (as far as version 1.7.08) to no avail. I tried setting it up manually and it just says “disconnected”. I contacted gweike support and they seemed to want me to use their GLaser software which is a no lol. How can I fix this?

I am also having the same issue with my Monport 30w Fibre

After the update, the software will not connect to the laser… the laptop can see it but I am unable to connect to it.

I am on LightBurn Pro 2.0.03

EDIT
My issue was resolved by going back to 2.0.02 as per here

This is a verified bug in the Mac version of 2.0.03. Please see:

@Xina
Do this, please:
Install version 2.0.02 from here: https://release.lightburnsoftware.com/LightBurn/Release/LightBurn-v2.0.02/LightBurn.V2.0.02.dmg

You don’t need to add your device again. Instead, restore your settings from a previous state:
First, save your current file, then open a new blank project from File > New in the top menu bar.

Then, go to ‘File > Preferences > Load Prefs Backup’ in the top menu bar.

The preferences backup window will appear. From the list, select a time and date when everything was working as expected.

Then click ‘Load’ in the lower right corner.

This will restore your prior settings and should restore the connectivity.

(Having access to GLaser is a good way to rule out other issues.)
