NewCam Mintion and LightBurn issue

Hi, after installing the NewCam Mintion to use LightBurn with my Orthur Master 3, I am completely stuck in the camera calibration with error messages every time.

Despite several attempts and searches, I have absolutely no idea why it does not launch the test engraving of this calibration.

Here is the message I receive from the first 2 seconds of starting the engraving.

error:1

G-code words consist of a letter and a value. The letter was not found.

Online or almost online 0:

Task interrupted

Flow completed in 0:00

I also have this one but not every time, it is one or the other 🙄

ALARM:2

The g-code movement target exceeds the machine stroke. Machine position safely preserved. The alarm can be unlocked. (Right-click on the ‘Devices’ button to reset the connection)

Clarification I put in the settings 400x400 in the engraving area, I even tested in 390x3980 just in case but nothing changes.

I also removed the out-of-range detection but the same it changes absolutely nothing either.

If one of you has already seen this problem and knows how to fix it or why I am interested because now it is impossible to finish my installation. 😭

Thanks for your help. 😉

The symptoms you provided are typical of a communications issue with the USB cable. You did not say whether it was the MAC or PC, but it chn happen to either one.

Replace the USB cable with a higher cost one that is shielded and has ferrites on the end. Even if that does not solve your problem, it will eliminate one variable now and later.

Did a quick Google and noticed they did not mention shielding. Look for one rated USB 3.1/3.2 and you can buy the cable ferrites separately.

The USB cable is only between the NewCam and the OLM3 recorder, because the connection is in Wifi between the camera and the PC. I have both Windows PC and Mac in MacBook Pro. I want to change the USB between the Cam and the burner, but I doubt that it solves the problem between the Cam and LightBurn since everything works perfectly on other software like SplitCam or the Mintion software
This same cable works perfectly between just the CD burner and the PC.

What is between the PC and the laser? is it WIFI or USB?

Wifi but the problem is the same if plugged in USB

Crappy WIFI and crappy USB cable is the same thing. Either improve your WIFI strength or get a new USB cable. Until you eliminate the variable here, you will not know if you have a solution.

Wifi side, no problem, even outside I can capture with a force of 2Gb which is more than enough to do everything, besides even for 3D printers it does not pose me any problem.
On the USB cable side, I will change, but I am 99% sure that it will not change the problem since this same cable makes the burner work on the PC without any problems.

As many others see, the problem is LightBurn, not the hardware, the proof seen that it works on GRBL for example and other audio/video management software. Known cam problem on LightBurn and already a long time. But a priori a problem still not solved. Thank you for your answers, I will make a quick return in the week following the change of cable.

To be a bit of a contrarion, try with the cheapest, worst usb-c cable. A lot of early usb-c devices missed out the pull up resistors, and the cables missed pins. My JPT M8 just plain old doesn’t work with the to-spec cables; internally it’s usb 2, the connector only has 4 wires. All the fancy cables do nothing, but the one that came free with some cheap gadget if flawless!

Everyone usually do. It is called the spare cable in the closet. :joy:

Yes I will test it in the week, change the cable or tonight if I have time, but I do not make illusions about the final result.

Yes better your have stock
