Photo engraving on stainless steel in grayscale

My experience with SS and grayscale is only on 0.5mm and 0.8mm business cards, and they warp bad, compared to using stuki or jarvis with a white pass and then a black pass.

I’ve added support for Grayscale image mode for BSL machines. This should be in the upcoming 2.0 release.

Hi @LightBurn - that’s great but I understand that won’t run on my Windows 8.1? Can you add this to a 1.7x version?

You need to start a new thread, as it’s not related to the thread title. Maybe one of the Lightburn can move it for us… like @JohnJohn :folded_hands:

The Lightburn site states you need to be at Windows 10+.

Does the support for 2.0 comming at full release or already at pre-release?

Downloaded pre-release and tryed out the Testfile

i have a Monport GA30

I’m sorry, but I’m not sure I understand what you’re asking with this. Grayscale support has been added to the 2.0 release, and will be in the full release, but I’m not sure if it’s in one of the RC’s yet. We have another RC coming shortly, and it will definitely be in that.

I can’t, sorry.

@geraldz and @Iceman2142, the 2.0 RC-5 is live and got Grayscale added for BSL!

Confirmed working on the Gweike G2 Pro 30W:
