why when i press pause on lightburn my laser doesn’t pause immediately but continues its cut?
Which device profile are you using in LightBurn? GRBL or GRBL-M3?
GRBL-M3 doesn’t have an instant pause, but GRBL does.
There was also a bug if your job was so small that it fit completely into the buffer of the machine, like a couple simple rectangles, that the system would go into “waiting for the controller to finish” mode and didn’t check for the pause button there. The 0.9.21 release fixes that.

small jobs I have version 0.92.0 and GBRL
Then this is fixed with the next release.
