Thank you, just found it in beginner mode on the UTube
Glad you found it!
The machine I have is a SainSmart LC-40 and I have no idea what kind of board it uses all I know is
Hi Jim, that machine should be GRBL based, so select ‘GRBL’ during device manual setup.
Or if making a purchase, that would be the GCode version of LightBurn

Hello Colin,
Thank you for the information but I must say this LC-40 is about to go to the scrap pile, I followed the YouTube Video for beginners and did the first project to the letter and when I put the project on the board to burn the machine said I was out of bounds I followed the directions how could it go wrong?
Ok I said ME put in LaserGrBL which I did but this time I get the message
I have tried 3 computers so far and I get the same results I would like to toss the control board and install the type of board that the 3018 uses I think the name is wood pecker as it does have a laser.
Today I am going to try again and if it will not work in the heap it goes as warm weather is short lived.
Jim
Will wonders ever cease it works well almost I cannot get the laser to burn it is on but not burning Ideas?
The next step is Speed, Power and Power settings.
For this Diode laser we recommend working in mm / minute.
What speed are you attempting to engrave at? Please share the Units of speed measurement - they really matter and often present an obstacle to new users.
The next step is what % Power have you commanded for your engrave task?
The third step is confirming that the requested laser or spindle power is being requested on the same scale. The value assigned to $30 in Machine settings has to match the value assigned to S-value max in the Device settings
Please report back if $30 and the S-value max aren’t the same value.
Let me ask this what does this mean
The machine will Frame and it comes to a resting point on the lower left of the project but when I press start it moves to the lower middle making a few burn marks and quits and this message comes up.
I followed the video instructions to the letter yet when I hit the start button the machine (software) will not complete the job also the laser does not want to burn anything including paper I have included screenshots of the key chain from running the framing tool to the cutting /burning of the project, I have two videos of the laser framing and cutting and after it stops it will home itself, I do not think it is supposed to do that in GRBL but I do not know how to see which firmware is installed, also the 341 driver is installed and working.here is the video I took of the laser framing and cutting follow the facebook link Redirecting...
Below is the screenshots from the operation.

This is the firmware installed and is definitely GRBL:
Are you able to host the video elsewhere that allows public viewing and then link here? Not able to see the video.
Can you take a full screenshot of LightBurn with the Cuts window showing?
Also, please take a screenshot of Edit->Device Settings.
Can you elaborate on what this means? What exactly happens?
Try this
No go. Goes to a login page.
Did you get to Face book
No Facebook.
Try dramatically slowing down the speed. Keep slowing down until a mark is made.
I might have had the wrong box checked let me know

Dramatically slow down the Cut setting speed and try again.
I was able to see the framing video which looks fine.
Note that the machine is likely not homing at the end of the job. Just returning to that position which is set in your Device Settings “Return to Finish Position” at 0,0.
I’m pretty new to all of this as well, but isn’t 700 really high for the X Y Acceleration? Mine gave me problems at 100.00 so i had to bump it down to 50.
I’ll assume the default configuration from Sainsmart is at least somewhat tuned for the machine at least for now and I know that others with the same machine are running with default configuration at least in some cases.
