While trying to solve a problem with my laser, another problem occurred, help

I need help
PROBLEM 1: As you can see in the screenshot, when I bring my laser lens to the far right of the working area (green), sometimes I hear a clicking, clicking, clicking sound. I think it’s a gear grinding, spinning sound. Again, when I say show the cutting area with a ‘frame’ in the area at the bottom right (red circle), if it goes to the right, I hear a loud noise like a clicking, clicking, clicking sound, I think it’s a teeth scraping sound. What’s the reason and how can I solve it?
PROBLEM 2: After changing the tension setting on the X side, there was a gap like this. Do I need to tighten or loosen the tension or how can I fix it?

In summary: I was trying to calibrate my laser using an old laptop camera (I still haven’t been able to calibrate it, this is a separate topic) I’ve been experiencing the 1st problem from time to time since I first got the laser, now while trying to solve it, the 2nd problem has also appeared.

Hi çalıkoğlu
There are some details you can post that will help speed up the solving of your machine issue.

These details will greatly reduce guess work and save a lot of time.

Read the first part of the list at the following link.

Kind regards.

More info is needed, but you are at X 439. Typically diode lasers have a dimension of 410 or less. It appears that you have the wrong size of your work area set and that is why you are crashing into the right side.

1- algolaser delta 22w
2- GRBL
3- Am I not using the latest version of LightBurn? A new update notification has arrived.
4- I am using a laptop and windows 11
5- The first problem was always there and it happened occasionally (on the console: I had the alarm problem 2 and rarely 3). While trying to solve it, the second problem became new.

How can I set my settings like this:
and the console on the right says ALARM 2 error

I looked on algolaser website and the Delta 22 is 440x410, which is what you have set. Do you move the laser head by hand or only with software? When you home the machine, does it go to the proper, lower left position? If you home the machine and frame from home position does it work properly or try to go off the right side? Do you have anything else on your screen, outside of the work area that it might be trying to frame?

1-I was also moving the laser with my hand. For example, I’ve been trying to set up a camera for 3 days and normally I was moving it with my hand.
2-When I press the home button, it comes to the bottom left without any problems, and when I want to draw a frame from the bottom left, it gives the following warning. “It says there is no layer as output in your project”, I cannot draw a frame when the workspace is empty.
3-There is nothing else on your screen that it is trying to frame outside of the workspace, sir.

I would back my workplace settings off a little bit. 415mm is over the size and manufactures like to exaggerate their settings.

Ok, how many should I do or you did mm?

That is your first mistake. When you move it by hand Lightburn no longer knows the position of the laser. Always use software controls to move the laser head unless you use current position as your start from position.

That is because you have the output turned off in cuts/layers panel.

-Yes, you are right. I will not intervene with my hand anymore. Also, it gives a warning called “alarm 2”. Is this because I intervene with my hand?

yes it was closed now I opened it (yellow) but it will only draw the frame of the project (pink) is it the full work area you want (blue)? did i understand correctly?

If you want to frame the entire work area you need to place a rectangle the size and shape of the work area to frame. You can use one of the tool layers, T1 or T2 and it will only frame but not cut that shape.

OK, I tried it and there was no problem. I think I got the ALARM 2 warning all the time because I intervened with my hand. I’ll use it like this for a while and if there is any problem, I’ll write here again. I only have two questions right now.
1- There is a problem with the line in the circle I showed below, what is the solution?
2- I calibrated the camera lens without any problems and after calibrating the camera alignments, I can’t draw exactly as I want, there are shifts in the area I draw? Would intervening with my hand prevent this, I think I may have done so.

I don’t use a camera so I cannot speak to your second question.

You have play in your machine. Follow the post below. It is written for a Sculpfun, but most are very similar and the principles apply.

No problem, thank you.

When I had an issue like that it was my X/Y sensors, they were not detecting that I was at the edge. One of them I had to replace and the other I I just had to adjust it so it was set in place properly.
