10-4 on that. Did you or he ever flash the firmware up until now
I won’t be able to look at this until later today but will respond once I get caught up.
I have not, I just got it 2 days ago.
You might want to unplug the controller from power source then slowly and gently lift the middle V mot board off of the controller and check to make sure that the pins are set correctly for the y-axis
Yes sir it does I’m just trying to help you leave no stone unturned LOL I really think it is the digital pinout from the controller your friend or whoever you got the machine from probably flashed it from the older version and then couldn’t get the y-axis going in each Direction You might want to think about reflashing it with grbl 09j
Now just need to figure out how to do that I guess. And I sooo appreciate all of your help and suggestions. Very much appreciated
Wondering if at this point is worth just trying a new GRBL board?
Any thoughts. Im kinda stuck at this point
So interestingly, it seems as though the computer commands for even inverting the Y axis direction dont work. If I change $3 from 0 to 1, the x axis direction is inverted but when I try for Y i get no change
I’m thinking it has something to do with the pinouts on the controller. Let me do some research on this. And I will let you know
I only know how to reflash from LaserGRBL. I tried 1.1h and then back to 1.1f and no change. I can have the same board by today from Amazon but I feel like Id being doing the same thing on it
As a last ditch effort try flashing this file https://stampmakersco.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/03/grbl-laseraxe-good.zip
This is the file I used when my Y axis would only go one way
Here is the stepper motor pinout for the vmot driver for your controller.
Also I would download arduino to flash your file properly use the device “audrino nano” the cpu_map.h file has to do with the pinouts for the steppers
Any chance you would have a few minutes to jump on a call to walk thru. I could try but likely not succeed.
I know it’s a lot to ask, but I am seriously losing it here. Ive spent almost 4 days messing with this thing.
For the record, I tried and have been unsuccessful for 3 attempts . Not sure what Im doing wrong
Sure thing. I sent you a message
