I purchased an Ortur 2 and have been watching videos and have been able to get very faint burns on a pine board. I have not been able to replicate what I am seeing in videos where the laser is literally burning the wood and visible smoke is emitted.
I was using the GRBL software but Lighbirn was recommended. I am having the same issue with this software so I imagine there is some setting or trick that I am missing. I am trying to burn onto endgrain hardwood cutting boards and need more power!
What speed and power settings are you using? Diode lasers need to go slow, with high power, and you also need to make sure you are focused properly to the smallest dot you can get.
