For sure the belt in the video is way undertensioned. There should be no slack in the belt at all. Review all belts.

I’d suggest doing a full review of the mechanics if the belts were that loose. Make sure that the pinion gears are properly secured with grub screws against the flat portion of the stepper motor shaft.

Also, it looks like your gantry may not have been square with the frame. Make sure that the left and right sides of the gantry touch the bottom and tops of the frame at the same time when moved.

After checking all my frames, and belts I am getting the following on my console when testing.

This is the only problem message I see.

Make sure you meet these conditions:

  1. Always home at the start of every session
  2. Use jogging controls exclusively to move the laser. Do not move the laser head by hand
  3. Do not ignore any warning messages from LightBurn

If you do so, you should never get the alarm message.

Additionally, I’d suggest you use Absolute Coords as the Start From mode in Laser window until you get very familiar with the machine and LightBurn. It’s the most straightforward mode where the design on workspace will be burned to the matching location on the bed.
