Laser malfunctioning

Dear All,

Please, I’m urgently in need of assistance as my longer ray5 10w is malfunction. My machine started cutting different things, what is cutting is entirely different from what I sent to the machine. I don’t know what could have caused this. Any help in resolving this will be grately appreciated. Thank you

Is the laser cutting designed shapes or is it just random unplanned cutting.

I had a quick look at the machine details and I am wondering if it is cutting a file that it has in its memory
Maybe you can clear old work files (save elsewhere incase needed later) and make sure your selecting the file you want and not something with similar file name details on the memory card etc.

Sometimes this is a licensing issue with a “cracked” LightBurn file obtained from somewhere other than the Official Site.

Some previous discussions show various “entirely different” results:

If that’s not the problem, some pictures and perhaps the lbrn2 file will give us more to work with.

Ok, I will send the picture. I wanted to cut keyring that is in circle shape but instead to cut circle, it was cutting something like hexagon and at time just dot dot dot in form of square. I never expected this since I’ve started using it though it was early this year
