Someone asked for some links to others struggling with printing to paper and scaling issues. Here are a few. My recommendation is to add something to the online documentation advising people about how to print drafts to paper/pdf and avoid scaling. Hope this helps.
I have an LM3 driven by a Mac running MacOS 13.3.1 Ventura and Lightburn 1.4.00
I want to print and cut stickers.
I created the file entirely in Lightburn, with a layer for printing, a layer for cutting and a layer for registration.
The entire projects fits on an A4 size page, what I want to do is print the project on my inkjet printer, then cut it on my LM3.
Unfortunately the print output is a bit smaller than my design in LB so the printed stickers do not align with the cut outlines in the…
Hey all,
This is my first time posting and pretty new to Lightburn itself, but not new to the world of designing/print and cuts. I work in a sign shop and we do print and cuts on the regular, but I cannot seem to get it quite right with lightburn.
I set up my file, and print it with the artwork and the registration marks. I then export the cut layer from illustrator as an SVG. I have tried printing on a desktop computer as well as our large format vinyl printer at work. The only time I hav…
I want to print to a printer. The only thing on the workspace is my design. There are other things off of the workspace. Using a Mac Mini to an HP printer on 11 x 17 paper (tabloid). It prints. But it prints everything, whether on or off the workspace and the entire print is smaller than a dime. Help!

I am trying to print a proof to 1:1 scale on paper to wrap around a tumbler. However when I send to desktop printer it is much smaller. I checked printer settings it is NOT set to enlarge or reduce. The LB work space is set to the laser bed size. I am using a PiBurn rotary. If I export the graphic and import into Coreldraw and print selected it is correct. I have read many post on this but yet to find a solution. I would like to be able to select my graphic and print to 1:1 scale. Probably simpl…
I have been trying to cut some business card style items from card stock using the camera to line up the printed stock with the cutting items, but no matter how many times I calibrated the camera it never overlapped.
I eventually found a problem in that the PDF file is approximately 47% of the size of the original. If I increase the size of the print objects by 200% as I had been doing to make them fit they still come out at 95% of the correct width and 96% of the correct height.
I haven’t bee…
Hello,
I am trying to print on a inkjet printer a design I did on lightburn…
problem is that the scale is somehow not matching.
For example, draw a 5cm square
Print it on a piece of paper.
Do you have a 5cm square printed?
When I measure I have 4.8mm.
Kind of weird.
Thanks
Hey, I want to verify the design by printing it to paper (with paper printer) and with actual size and no scale (1:1)
The problem is that the print is scaled to fit the size of the paper in my printer.
My printer is HP MFP M283fdn, and I using the ‘Actual Size’ in the printer properties.
Can someone assist with that.

I want to print a paper copy of my design which is 15mm x 12mm in size. i want it to print on my Canon printer connected to my laptop and i obviously need it to be scaled up to fit a standard 8 1/2 x 11 sheet of paper.
When i select “PRINT” in the “FILE” menu there are no printer oprions to “SCALE” or "Fit to page’
