Please Help Us Keep the Forums Organized and Support Efficient [PLEASE READ THIS]

Hi Folks,

As the LightBurn user base continues to grow, it becomes more and more challenging to make sure everyone that needs help, gets help. So please help us keep the community organized in these simple ways so that everyone, including LightBurn staff members and other members of the community, can be most efficient when providing support:

First, please ask for help properly, providing details such as what machine, controller, and firmware you have, actual screenshots from your computer (cell phone pics of screens are blurry and cause strain on the eyes), and a clear description of what the issue is.

Marking the Reply that is the Solution:

When you, the Original Poster and Creator of a topic, receive a reply in that topic that is the solution, please mark that as the solution. This is enabled for the support related categories including Getting Started, LightBurn Software, and Hardware.

Expand the “More” menu by clicking the button with the 3 dots on the bottom of the post that is the solution:

Press the button with the check mark to mark that as a reply:

Now the topic will have a checkbox next to the name when we scroll by it in the list of recent topics, and we will know that it is resolved and we do not have to check it again (and constantly thereafter).

Filling out your profile with your Machine Details:

When you sign up for the account on the forum, there should be a field to fill out what Machines you have. Please make sure you have this filled out and it is accurate with your Machines you have, and what Controllers and Firmware they run.

You can edit this by clicking on your profile icon in the top right (on desktop browser), clicking the gear icon in the menu that pops up, and going to the Profile tab.

@Rick has a very nicely filled out profile:

This will save you the trouble of typing out your machine details on every support request, and save us the trouble of asking for them every time.
